New Testament Proverbs Pt.1 About God

Whenever we are asked about proverbs, we turn immediately to the Old Testament Book of Proverbs. Written with great wisdom by King Solomon, we gladly memorize some of the more familiar ones.

But what about the New Testament? Why is there a lack of such wisdom writing? Is the New Testament just the history of Jesus and the early church? Do we only get Paul’s letters describing how the churches should be set up or how they should act?

No, there are great proverbs in the New Testament, but they are scattered throughout and you may have to pay attention and dig them out. Read below, the New Testament proverbs about God.

Matthew 5:45 … that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.
